How does CBD interacts with human body

What we known about the effects of CBD on our body.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-psychotropic component that aroused enthusiasm and great interest among health care professionals. Its many effects have been noted at various levels of metabolism and through multiple molecular pathways. Recently, scientific literature has identified more than 65 CBD receptors in the body*. Consumers have also seen its beneficial action through daily use of products containing the molecule.
We will reveal what the medical profession has discovered to date, trying to make the technical terms more digestible.

CBD Action on Well-being

According to serious scientific journals such as CNS & Neurological Disorders** or Healthline, studies suggest that CBD has an antidepressant and anxiolytic effect. Experts believe that these benefits are linked to its action on the serotonin receptors in the brain. CBD does not necessarily increase levels, but it can boost the receptors that respond to existing serotonin in the body. It is found mainly in the brain, intestines and blood platelets. It is used to transmit messages between nerve cells and helps regulate the body's sleep-wake cycles and internal clock. It also plays a role in appetite, emotions and nervous system coordination. When CBD acts on serotonin, a feeling of general well-being and a palpable decrease in anxiety and stress is established.

Action of CBD on digestion

Healthy intestines have a mucosal barrier that absorbs nutrients from ingested food. If this barrier is affected by inflammation, it allows essential particles to pass through and this leads to more health problems. Scientists have discovered that CBD can have a beneficial effect on intestinal permeability, and can combat stomach bloating and irritable bowel syndrome***. By acting on intestinal mobility, it also reduces inflammation and side effects related to diarrhoea or constipation.
CBD acts directly on our endocannabinoid system like an external cannabinoid. It sends messages to cannabinoid receptors, and since these receptors are primarily concentrated in our brain, stomach and intestines, signals are sent throughout the body to regulate nausea, vomiting and any overproduction of stomach acid. Of course, a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise greatly improves these results on the digestive system.

Action of the CBD on muscles

High performance athletes use the CBD to facilitate muscle recovery between training sessions or after a sporting event. It also accelerates recovery from injury or physical shock by optimizing protein synthesis in muscle tissue and reducing cortisol levels. Cortisol is a hormone that plays an anti-inflammatory role and helps regulate sleep. CBD is therefore able to alleviate inflammation without compromising recovery times, with a pain-relieving and relaxing effect conducive to sporting performance.

In brief

The CBD acts through our endocannabinoid system which establishes our internal balance. It attaches to the receptors of this system and naturally boosts it, causing it to function more efficiently.
